Lynne Bacaj shares insights and info on cannabis and it’s varied uses

By Karen Bate | June 18, 2018 | Comments Off on Lynne Bacaj shares insights and info on cannabis and it’s varied uses

This past Friday evening our Arlington AWE chapter meeting was held at Gossip on 23rd owned by Katherine Glorioso. Our speaker, Lynne Bacaj, who hails from the San Diego area is a cannabis coach, and shared information and resources about the varied uses of cannabis. She counsels clients who are seeking relief for a variety of conditions when mainstream medicine hasn’t helped: post-surgical and other pain, menopausal symptoms, depression and anxiety, she even has four dogs as clients. Bacaj shared examples of clients she works with including one in chronic pain following four back surgeries, one suffering from depression, and one with post-menopausal symptoms. She also shared websites, podcasts, books and other resources for attendees to learn more about the benefits of cannabis and the industry.

Saphira Galoob of The Liaison Group provided an informative update on federal legislation regarding cannabis laws, what’s ahead for Virginia and the DMV, and how this changing landscape offers a wealth of new business opportunities for entrepreneurs. She asked everyone to set aside their preconceived notions and realize that this growing national movement signals a new emphasis on natural plant-based medicine and health in the U.S.

Thank you Grace Abi-Najm Shea and Lebanese Taverna Market who provided delicious food. Sponsor Arrowine provided various white and sparkling wines as well as delicious sushi from AWE member Rosie Gordon’s Sushi-Zen!

If you haven’t been to Gossip, check it out in Crystal City. The shop is moving to the Ballston Quarter this fall!
